The craftsmen/owners are Sam Moligian and Jane Agnew, both graduates of Sheridan College Craft and Design in Ceramics. Jane went on to complete a Fine Art Degree at York University. After College Sam set up a studio in Caledon using the salt fire process which he went on to bring to Colleges throughout Canada, using a 40ft. semi trailer that housed his kiln, materials and accommodations. Jane set up her production studio in North Bay which moved into a 7000sq.ft. facility that wholesaled slip cast pottery to gift shops throughout Canada. In 1979 Sam moved to North Bay and joined Jane in Jane’s Pottery Factory’s production line . Currently Jane and Sam have downsized their operation and are producing oxidation and reduction salt fired pottery from their original designs and Jane has developed a line of concrete garden accessories that are air-entrained so that they can be left outdoors year round.
