Claudine Moncion
Claudine Moncion Joaillière
Handmade contemporary sterling silver and copper jewelry
Each piece of Claudine Moncion’s jewelry is meticulously hand-made in Quebec, adhering to traditional artisanal techniques. Designed by Claudine and produced with a small team of skilled local jewelers, her creations showcase a deep commitment to craftsmanship. Hailing from Gatineau, Quebec, Claudine’s academic background spans visual arts, architecture, and jewelry. She earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in architecture from the Université de Montréal and refined her jewelry skills at the Alchimia Contemporary Jewelry School in Florence, El Taller Workshop in Barcelona, and BKMW School in Brooklyn.
Claudine designs a new collection annually, each rooted in a unique concept. Her most popular collection, MELT, is crafted from silver and copper scraps accumulated over time. Metals are carefully weighed and melted on a coal block to form distinctive beads. These beads are drilled, faceted, and polished by hand before being assembled into contemporary pieces reflecting Claudine’s signature style. Her minimalist, geometric designs blend classic and modern aesthetics, emphasizing architectural influences and exploring material contrasts.
