Jane\u2019s pottery is admired for its aesthetic quality and for its functionality. She has been making pots for all of her adult life, after being smitten while taking her first class at university. She enjoys the challenge of making pots that work well for daily use and has developed several pottery collections over the years. Her Classic collection is inspired by the rich colours of Amish block quilts which she grew up with in southern Ontario. During the pandemic, experimentation with new techniques led to the development of her Flora and Fauna collection, expressing her deep love of nature, which she takes every opportunity to enjoy from her bike or canoe or skis or hiking in the woods.<\/p>\n
Jane\u2019s studio and home in Ottawa is filled with inspirational art and crafts collected during the ten years she and her husband worked with craftspeople in East Africa and Asia.
